A commissionned project  of one portrait a year

A few years ago, I was contacted by a very special client with a simple request, a portrait of her and her two cats. The idea was to use this portrait as an illustration for a wishing card to share with her loved ones and that is why we decided to use a square format each time. 

As she was very happy with the first portrait I drew of them, she contacted me again a year later with the same request, and we have been doing this project each year ever since.

As the years goes by, the portraits are becoming more detailed with more background and colors. Every time, she send me some new pictures of her and the cats and briefly tells me about her past year, what travels she did, what projects she has, what things she accomplished, etc. So I can every time propose new concepts and ideas for this year project. 

This project is very important to me personnally, as it allows me to see my evolution as an artist, and got my first long term client.
